Please note:
The two satin stitch squares on either side of the verse are worked with #8 ecru perle cotton thread. After the satin stitch squares are complete, fill in (using either half-bleached 50/2 or 60/2 linen thread or #12 ecru perle cotton) with pulled thread techniques of your choice. The black line grid within the satin stitch squares illustrate a pulled thread stitch worked over four fabric threads. A suggestion would be the four-sided pulled thread stitch (worked over four fabric threads), greek cross filling stitch or a honey-combed pulled thread stitch.
Also ~ can you find the "needle" in the top ladies border?! Stitch the needle with gold metallic thread or my choice of Burnished Gold Spun Silk from Vikki Clayton!
