This charming huswife is comprised of three inside pockets & is embellished with sampler motifs, alphabet, verse, white work, flame stitch & numerous sampler stitches. An "exquisite" hand dyed 18th century reproduction wool binding is sewn around the entire edge of the huswife securing it together. It is tied with 18th century reproduction cotton twill tape around an Italian mother-of-pearl button!
